Exploring the Occult Depths

Malleus Net publishing was created to share my esoteric work with you. I’m Magnus Malleus the Electric Alchemist. I’m a non-traditional Alchemist, meaning I don’t use a forge to heat chemical substances in a glass vessel in an effort to make real gold. My crystal powered Alchemical apparatus uses electricity and light to effect the changes in materials that transmit spiritual changes to me and allow me to continually transform myself into a more whole and improved person.

My new book, “Oracles Of Hathor”, released very soon documents my first one hundred Alchemical transformations under the love and guidance of the Egyptian goddess Hathor. The interesting story of how I became an Alchemist and Pagan is given in detail in the book, so I won’t dwell on that here.

After I started using my apparatus, I became aware of psychologist C.G. Jung’s extensive writings on Alchemy and I read them all. Many times. I was fascinated by the insights. So many loose ideas that were swirling around became consolidated into a coherent spiritual practice.

I consider myself an Atheo-Pagan. I accept the reality of the divine in the realm of the psyche without granting that it manifests in the dual conditions of time and space. I believe things can be real, and yet, not exist.

The Goddess psychically reached out to me to grasp my hand and I accepted her. We have a relationship of mutual devotion and support that is both infinite and eternal.

Enough about me. I want you to meet Hathor, the Kemetic (ancient Egyptian) goddess of Desire!

What Wikipedia says about Hathor- “Hathor (Ancient Egyptian: ḥwt-ḥr, lit. 'House of Horus', Ancient Greek: Ἁθώρ Hathōr, Coptic: ϩⲁⲑⲱⲣ, Meroitic: 𐦠𐦴𐦫𐦢‎ Atari) was a major goddess in ancient Egyptian religion who played a wide variety of roles. As a sky deity, she was the mother or consort of the sky god Horus and the sun god Ra, both of whom were connected with kingship, and thus she was the symbolic mother of their earthly representatives, the pharaohs. She was one of several goddesses who acted as the Eye of Ra, Ra's feminine counterpart, and in this form, she had a vengeful aspect that protected him from his enemies. Her beneficent side represented beauty, music, dance, joy, love, sexuality, and maternal care, and she acted as the consort of several male deities and the mother of their sons. These two aspects of the goddess exemplified the Egyptian conception of femininity. Hathor crossed boundaries between worlds, helping deceased souls in the transition to the afterlife. Hathor was often depicted as a cow, symbolizing her maternal and celestial aspect, although her most common form was a woman wearing a headdress of cow horns and a sun disk. She could also be represented as a lioness, a cobra, or a sycamore tree.” This is a good overview, but my experience with goddess leads me to emphasize her function of Desire, or spiritual attraction, exemplified by her tempting the Sun to rise every day with her charms and personality. Her wisdom is unbounded. She is a kind teacher and has a naughty sense of humor. She is not the jealous type because she is present in every woman, goddess and every feminine soul. The ancient myths and hymns about her can be found online and weave together the common threads of love, dynamism and transformation. I am honored to know her and share her guidance with you!
Before the Age of Pharaohs...

The goddess Hathor has been worshiped since prehistoric times going back at least 30,000 years beginning in a Nubian region on the Horn of Africa. The records from dynastic Egypt indicate that this area located southeast of Egypt and Kush was called Punt. It was a region that now lies in an area touching both modern day Ethiopia and Somalia. Her names and symbols may have evolved over time, but her continued presence has been an unbroken chain.

Scientist and researcher Dr. Solange Ashby has documented evidence of the migration of Goddess worship from Nubia to the centers of dynastic Egypt. Her current research describes the roles of women – queens, priestesses, mothers – in traditional Nubian religious practices. You can learn more about Dr. Ashby here, and by watching the video below.

C.G. Jung on Alchemy:

Psychologist C.G Jung wrote three volumes exclusively about Alchemy. I discovered these works after I started using the apparatus and they really shed light on the psychic processes that were part of my transformation. These books are a great introduction to Alchemy because many of the symbols found in the "great work" are described in detail. Also, there are many, many references to the original manuscripts in one place so you can then go online and look at the originals! You don't have to believe everything you read or agree with everything Jung asserts to get a lot out of this material. Some of the text is really dense and includes psychology terms you may not be familiar with but don't let that put you off.

Other Books on Hathor and Kemetic Alchemy:

These three books are a great resource for learning about the goddess Hathor, her connection to Alchemy and Kemetic Alchemy in general. Each of these books sent chills up my spine as I read passages that resonated with my transformations! Hathor's Alchemy: The Ancient Egyptian Roots of the Hermetic Art Alison M.
